Athichai Kotub Ounkomol

Athichai Kotub Ounkomol, known as KT, is a Bangkok-based writer whose work looks at the structural forces shaping technology, economics, business and society.

His first book, AI: First Lines: The Sketch Underneath the Intelligence Era (2026), is a plain-language account of how computing moved from following instructions to forming judgments under uncertainty, and of the layers underneath AI that decide who captures its value. Written from Thailand, it asks what participation in the intelligence era means for a mid-sized economy that “sits primarily at the consumption layer of the AI economy”.
